CPA firm seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join our Richmond, VA office. Immediate Opening!

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years minimum experience in a CPA Firm or equivalent
  • Experience in G/L, Sales Tax, Payroll, Payroll QTRLY's, W-2's, and 1099
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and independently
  • Working knowledge of Quickbooks and Quickbooks Online required
  • Working knowledge of Xero and Thomson Reuters Software is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Dillner's Accounting Software is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required

Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping and general ledger reconciliation knowledge required
  • Must have good communication skills for communicating with clients
  • Must be deadline oriented and willing to work overtime as needed
  • Prepare monthly financial statements using client-provided documents including sales reports, bank statements, credit card statements, and payroll reports
  • Reconcile bank account monthly
  • Reconcile other G/L accounts as needed
  • Prepare and enter journal entries
  • Calculate monthly sales tax and meals tax liabilities and prepare returns
  • Prepare annual business license renewal applications and business personal property tax returns
