Job Title: Per Diem CT Technologist (CT Tech)

Department: Radiology / Diagnostic Imaging
Reports to: Radiology Manager / Chief Technologist
Location: White Plains, NY
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Summary

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders, department protocols, and regulatory standards. This role provides flexible coverage to support patient care needs, ensuring timely and accurate diagnostic imaging while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans following established protocols to produce diagnostic-quality images.
• Prepare and position patients appropriately for each exam while ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Operate CT equipment, adjust technical parameters, and monitor image quality.
• Administer oral and IV contrast materials under the direction of a radiologist and in accordance with hospital policy.
• Verify patient identification and obtain informed consent when required.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and ALARA principles.
• Assist radiologists and other healthcare professionals in interpreting and performing specialized procedures.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any technical malfunctions or safety concerns.
• Participate in quality assurance, continuing education, and competency assessments as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

Essential:

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current ARRT (R) certification and ARRT (CT) credential (or eligibility to obtain within 6 months).
• Current state radiologic technologist license (if applicable).
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support).
• Minimum of [1–2] years of experience in CT imaging.

Preferred:

• Experience in a hospital or trauma setting.
• Proficiency with PACS, RIS, and electronic health record systems.
• Strong communication, patient care, and teamwork skills.
