Electra.aero Internship Program - Summer 2026
Electra.aero is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated high school students, college students, and recent graduates in a variety of engineering disciplines (aerospace, mechanical, structural, manufacturing, electrical, software, and more) to support the development of next-generation electric aircraft.
Our internship program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on, real-world experience by contributing to meaningful projects. Interns apply classroom knowledge to help solve complex technical challenges in areas such as:

To maximize the experience, these internships are onsite in Northern Virginia (Manassas HQ) . Relocation to the area is required for the duration of the program.

Compensation
Electra's salary range for this position is $39,000 - $87,000 annually. Please note: Actual compensation for internships depends on multiple factors, including project budgets, education level, skills, experience, and year in school.

Working Conditions
Work is typically performed in a warehouse/aviation and office environment, which requires proper safety precautions. Work may require some physical effort in handling light materials, boxes, power tools, prototypes, and different materials or equipment. Due to the nature of our business and projects, some fieldwork may be required, working in both indoor and outdoor conditions. You may need to lift up to 50 lbs.
Background & Drug Screening
Successful completion of a background check and/or drug screening prior to starting work may be required for this position.
