IMMEDIATE HIRE! SUFFOLK COUNTY

Assuring Hands Home Care agency is now hiring experienced Caregivers, HHA’s, CNA's and Senior Companions to join our non-medical home care team. Our mission is to provide excellent quality of care to clients in their homes. We offer several different kinds of shifts; overnight shifts, 12-hour shifts, live in shifts and short shifts. Part time and full-time positions are available. We also offer flexible hours, which include days, evenings, and weekends. We have shifts available all over Nassau, Suffolk, and Queens County. We are growing fast and there are many exciting opportunities for well qualified Caregivers.

$17 - $20 hour

Full Job Description

· Provide activity of daily living services in clients’ residences

· Transport and accompany patients to doctor’s office or to hospital

· Provide safe and competent care/service to the clients

· Assist client in maintaining good personal hygiene and maintain a healthy and safe environment.

· Plan and prepare nutritious meals based on client’s preference

· Ambulation assistance to promote mobility

· Provide encouragement to client so that they can be as independent as possible based on the care plan

· Attempt activities of interest to promote client’s mental alertness

· Give simple emotional and psychological support to the client and other members of the household

· Establish a relationship with the client and family which will transmit trust and confidentiality

· Perform light housekeeping tasks as related to a safe and comfortable environment for the client and grocery shopping

· Prepare visit report promptly and incorporate same in the client’s record weekly

· Confirm a weekly schedule of visits so that other necessary visits by staff members can be coordinated

· Work with personnel of other community agencies involved in the client’s care

· Attend in-service as required by the Agency regulations

· Promptly report any change in client’s mental and physical conditions or in the home situation to the supervisor.

· Keep daily attendance and document residents' participation in activities.

Qualifications

· Must be 18 and over

· Ability to build rapport with clients

· Ability to handle physical workload

· Excellent communication skills; team player; interpersonal skills; customer service skills

· The ability to comprehend, speak, read, and write the English language

· Must understand and respect client’s rights which also includes ethics and confidentiality of care

· Valid New York State HHA or PCA Certificate

· Complete physical with MMR, PPD and drug screens

· Valid state issued Identifications

· Authorized to work in the United States

· Ability to care for patients

· MUST be Vaccinated (Covid 19)

· 2 reference letters (Personal or Professional)
