Job Summary

InHouse Hospice is privately owned with over 75 years experience in hospice care. We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. In this position, you will be in an environment for each employee to realize their highest potential while maintaining a personalized focus on our Patients and Families every day. Responsibilities 

  • Assist with daily living activities
  • Demonstrating safe techniques in transferring patients with Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, and gait belts
  • Providing companionship to residents and caregivers at end of life 
  • Assist with personal hygiene needs and dressing
  • Assist with mobility, walking, and physical therapy exercises
  • Provide adjunct patient care
  • Monitor food intake 
  • Monitor vital signs
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
  • First aid and CPR-certified
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift heaving objects
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work with limited supervision
  • Compassionate, respectful, ethical
  • Demonstrate understanding of hospice philosophy, comfortable providing specialized care to the terminally ill in the home or facility setting. 
  • Reliable transportation and valid automobile insurance coverage
