TWFG General Agency has an immediate opening for a Claims Desk Adjuster at our corporate office based in The Woodlands, Texas. The Claims Adjuster position is responsible for the investigation, adjustment, and settlement of residential property claims. This position ensures claims, including large and complex claims, are properly investigated and evaluated in accordance with state and federal regulations and company standards.

Essential Job Functions:

· Adjust claims as assigned, including complex claims, litigated files, files in appraisal, large losses, and handling atypical coverage issues while adhering to granted authority limits

· Apply coverage in accordance with policy language

· Use Xactimate estimating software to produce accurate estimates of covered damage

· Coordinate vendor services as needed and facilitate communications amongst all parties to ensure files are moving along timely

· Respond to customer and vendor inquiries timely

· Document and notate files thoroughly

· Demonstrate professionalism at all times

· Follow industry best practices and regulations

· Maintain required state licensing requirements

· Adhere to company policies, state and federal regulations, and industry best practices

· Assist in special projects and catastrophic events as needed

Job Qualifications:

· Minimum of 2-5 years of experience adjusting residential or commercial property claims

· Bachelor’s degree preferred

· Active TX claims adjuster’s license

· Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure

· Strong organizational, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills

· Strong systems aptitude (to include MS Office suite proficiency)

· Self-motivated, detail-oriented and dependable

Physical and Other Requirements:

· Attend litigation hearings, examinations under oath, meditations, and trainings as needed.

· Must possess a valid driver’s license.

· Employees must be able to work a minimum of 72 hours per week for catastrophe assignments. Every adjuster shall be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to operate a computer terminal/PC equipment.
