Custodian / Janitor
2nd Shift
Our client, is seeking a Janitor to join their team. As a Janitor / Custodian, you will be part of the Facilities Management Department supporting the maintenance and cleanliness of facilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a positive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Janitor

Location: Appleton, WI

Pay Range:

Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM (Monday-Friday) or 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Monday-Friday)

What's the Job?

• Clean and maintain college facilities including offices, classrooms, restrooms, kitchens, cafeterias, elevators, storerooms, lobbies, hallways, and vestibules following established routines and standards.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks such as light bulb replacements, ceiling tile repairs, and installing dispensers or signage.
• Set up and take down furnishings and equipment for events and meetings based on work orders and customer requests.
• Maintain exterior areas by removing waste, snow, ice, and leaves to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Respond to emergencies such as fire, flood, power outages, and severe weather, ensuring safety protocols are followed.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of current work experience in custodial or maintenance-related fields.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs constantly, push and carry up to 70 lbs occasionally, and lift 25 to 90 lbs as needed.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a positive, professional attitude.
