Position Title: Light Industrial
Wage: $15.00 per hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm (Mon-Thurs); 6:45am-3:15pm (Fri)
QPS Employment Group has a great Light Industrial position available at a company in Oskaloosa, IA. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire.
Light Industrial Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Applies training to continuously improves her/his skills and gains knowledge through positive interaction with teammates.
- Maintains highest possible quality standards and asks questions to identify acceptable and unacceptable parts.
- Supports Company safety policies by operating in a safe manner and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Follows the Company policies as outlined in training provided that are associated with the department.
- Actively works in pursuit of Company's best interests in support of the Interpower team.
- Cutting cable to routing specifications.
- Stripping conductors and outer jackets to routing specifications.
- Crimp plug and connector inserts to routing specifications.
- Regrinding of material
- Coiling cable orders as needed.
- Boxing of products according to routing specifications.
- Restocking materials for use on the production floor.
- Operating Molder 5 – building inlet components.
- Operating the automation workstations – operating equipment, inspecting parts and disposition of product.
- Performs routine cleaning and waste disposal to ensure compliance with health, safety, and cleanliness standards.
Light Industrial Requirements: - Has previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Possesses a good work ethic with focus on a reliable attendance record.
- Must be team oriented.
- Possesses good communication skills including active listening and comprehension skills.
- Projects self-confidence, enthusiasm, and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Position requires rotation between tasks. Individuals could be required to stand for a 2 – 3-hour period.
- Lift, push, pull up 50 pounds, including twisting motion.
- Climate controlled facility that is air-conditioned and heated. Exact temperature may vary depending on humidity levels as well as heat from machines.
- Good hand-eye coordination and hand dexterity for light-manufacturing tasks.
