We are currently seeking an experienced PACU RN who would be available on PRN basis. This role requires a compassionate, detail-oriented RN who can provide high-quality postoperative care in a dynamic fertility clinic environment. If you have fertility experience, this is a plus!
What you'll do in this role:
- Monitor and assess patients' recovery from anesthesia following fertility procedures.
- Provide postoperative care, including pain management and administering medications as needed.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' vital signs, symptoms, and overall well-being.
- Collaborate with the surgical team, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Recognize and respond to signs of postoperative complications or emergencies.
- Provide appropriate interventions and collaborate with the healthcare team to stabilize patients.
- Educate patients on postoperative care, medication administration, and any specific instructions related to their fertility treatment.
- Maintain and manage PACU equipment and supplies, ensuring they are clean, functional, and available.
What is required:
- Current RN license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Texas
- BLS
- A minimum of one year experience with PACU
