Now Hiring: Patient Financial Advocate

Location: North Memorial Health – Robbinsdale, MN

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM | Day Shift

Assignment Duration: 8 weeks

Start Date: October 20, 2025

Pay Rate: $20 – $28/hr

We are seeking an experienced Patient Financial Advocate to join the team at North Memorial Health – Shared Services (Patient Registration Department) in Robbinsdale, MN. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented healthcare professional with strong knowledge of insurance coverage, authorizations, and patient financial assistance programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform financial screening of patients and ensure accounts are cleared for billing
• Educate patients and families on insurance benefits, billing, and collection processes
• Obtain insurance authorizations and secure payment arrangements
• Identify additional payment sources (e.g., Financial Assistance, Medical Assistance programs)
• Provide accurate cost estimates and ensure excellent patient service

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required); Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
• Experience:
• 1–2 years in Patient Financial Advocacy, Patient Registration, or Patient Accounting (required)
• Front-end patient financial interactions/customer service experience (required)
• EPIC experience (required)
• Experience communicating with insurance carriers for authorization (required)
• Preferred Skills: Spanish or Hmong speaking
