Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician specializing in wound care to join our team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional wound care services ensuring high standards of patient care and promoting optimal healing outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide Bedside Wound Care: Deliver expert wound care management at the bedside in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities.
- Wound Assessments and Treatment Plans: Perform comprehensive wound assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and execute advanced wound care procedures.
- Utilize Specialized Tools and Technology: Employ specialized tools and technologies to support wound healing and maintain detailed documentation.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with facility staff and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
- Maintain Accurate Documentation: Ensure all patient interactions and treatment plans are accurately recorded in a custom Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system in a timely manner.
- Patient Referrals: Identify and refer patients to other healthcare providers or services as necessary to enhance patient outcomes.
- Collaborating Physician Role: Serve as a collaborating physician for nurse practitioners and physician assistants, providing clinical guidance, mentorship, and support.
- Quality Improvement and Standards of Care: Engage in quality improvement initiatives and uphold high standards of patient care.

Qualifications:

- Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in a relevant specialty.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Texas.
- Proven experience in wound care management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient with electronic medical records and healthcare technologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
