Responsibilities Answers telephone calls for the radiologist, faxes reports on demand; mails reports to referring physicians who are not included in the autofax Meditech file or request reprints. Print prescriptions for MD's not on staff through PACS and forwards the printed paperwork to Medical Records. Schedules special procedures and provides calendar to IR. Responsible for scheduling all exams in Intervention Radiology/ Special. 2. Uses RIS (MediTech) including Excel and Word. 3. Answer telephones. 4. Assist radiologist, techs and receptionists. 5. Faxes reports on demand 6. Mails reports to doctors not on staff or specialty MD's 7. Prints prescriptions from PACS for MD's NOS and delivers them to Medical Records for inclusion to Meditech system 8. Assist with scheduling of Special Procedure. 9. Assist with informing the Radiologist of un-dictated cases for in-house and ED procedures. 10. Works collaboratively with all imaging modalities and responsible personnel. 11. Greets doctors. 12. Must attend all hospital in-services as required by policy and procedure. 13. Follows St. John’s Riverside Hospital attendance policy. 14. Regular attendance and timeliness are required in your job. This includes the following: (1) being at your work station ready for work by the start of your shift (2) taking only the time allowed for breaks (3) remaining at work during your entire shift, unless excused by a supervisor (4) leaving promptly at the end of your shift, unless you have been given advance permission from your supervisor to work past that point; and (5) calling in and personally notifying your supervisor or another member of management if you are going to be either absent or tardy, unless a verifiable emergency makes it impossible for you to do so.
