How you will contribute:

Provides direct and indirect patient care in the office/clinic setting. Maintains regulatory requirements, nursing and office/clinic policies, procedures and standards. Communicates with physicians and team members about patient's clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.

Qualifications and requirements

Required Registered Nurse

Current RN Licensure to practice in the state of Kentucky OR a Current RN Licensure with a multistate compact status.

Required Skills Certifications:

Current American Heart Association BLS certificate or obtained within 90 days after hire date

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Essential Functions

Obtains patient history, reason for visit, vital signs, height, weight, smoking status, allergies and current medications on all patient visits.

Performs EKG's, ear irrigations, draws injections accurately and administer correctly, administers medications (topical, oral, or injection) correctly. Collects and labels specimens properly and sends to appropriate designated lab.

Assists in scanning documents, answering phones, scheduling appointment, taking messages, calling prescriptions or any other duties that will help with efficiency of the office.

Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.

Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient protecting the patient's rights.
