NPORT partners with the NYC Department of Education (DOE) to place qualified healthcare professionals in public and private schools throughout New York City.

Location: All five boroughs of New York City
School Year: 2025–2026

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate  Occupational Therapists (OTs)and  Physical Therapists (PTs)to join our educational team for the upcoming 2025–2026 school year. These positions involve providing  school-based therapy services to students from Pre-K through 12th grade within the New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE) system. Therapists will work to support students’ functional performance, mobility, and participation in educational activities, in alignment with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and/or group therapy services to students with IEP mandates.
• Conduct evaluations and reevaluations using standardized tools; write clear, comprehensive reports.
• Develop and implement goal-oriented treatment plans that address students' functional and academic needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, families, and other service providers to support student participation and success in the classroom.
• Document all services in compliance with NPORT, DOE, and SESIS (Special Education Student Information System) guidelines.
• Attend IEP meetings and contribute to progress updates and annual reviews, as required.
• Ensure compliance with all New York State licensure standards and DOE regulations.

Qualifications:

• For Occupational Therapists: Licensed and registered as an Occupational Therapist in New York State.
• For Physical Therapists: Licensed and registered as a Physical Therapist in New York State.
• Experience working with children or in a school-based setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with DOE systems (e.g., SESIS), documentation requirements, and NPORT procedures is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
