Position Details: Location(s): Lake Wales, FL and Davenport FL
Pay: Starting at $43/hr
Hours: 38.75hrs
Schedules: May vary based on location
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Eligibility for a Florida Department of Health Occupational Therapy license and a Florida Medicaid number.
- Experience: Experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in a school setting.
- Additional Skills: Bilingual abilities and CPR certification are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct Therapy Services : Provide one-on-one and small group occupational therapy sessions to students, focusing on developing fine motor, visual motor, sensory processing, and self-help skills.
- Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) : Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals related to occupational therapy.
- Assessment and Documentation : Conduct evaluations to assess students' needs and progress, and maintain accurate records for Medicaid billing and compliance.
- Collaboration and Consultation : Work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom and home environments.
- Professional Development : Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with best practices in pediatric occupational therapy.
