Job Description

Our client, a leader in structural steel construction, is seeking a Senior Estimator to join their team. As a Senior Estimator, you will be part of the estimating department supporting project management and sales teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, analytical thinking, and effective communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Senior Estimator

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Pay Range: $100,000 - $140,000

What's the Job?

• Lead, schedule, and develop direct reports within the estimating team
• Review work performed by the team to ensure estimate accuracy and proposal quality
• Serve as and assign team “Champions” over specific projects or topics, acting as subject matter experts
• Assist team with project-specific proposal documents such as schedules and cash flows
• Review and approve proposals, change estimates, and take responsibility for their accuracy and completeness

What's Needed?

• Well-rounded knowledge of organization's estimating practices, financial goals, and company metrics
• General understanding of engineering, detailing, fabrication, delivery, and erection of structural steel buildings
• Experience in Structural Steel Project Management is a plus
• Comfortable leading others and managing direct reports
• Solid written and verbal communication skills with internal and external customers
