Seasonal Site Coordinator (Summer)
The Summer Enrichment Program site coordinator is a vital part of a team that ensures children have a fun, safe and memorable summer camp experience . The Site Coordinator oversees the daily operations of the summer camp site. Their primary role is to ensure the smooth running of all activities and programs at the camp, as well as the safety and well-being of campers and staff. They create a safe and engaging environment where campers can learn new skills, make friends, and have fun. The role requires enthusiasm, creativity and strong communication and interpersonal skills to create a positive environment for campers.
Responsibilities :
The site coordinator oversees planning and coordinating all camp activities, including scheduling events, organizing logistics, and ensuring that all activities run smoothly.
They are responsible for supervising camp staff, assigning duties, providing training, and ensuring that all staff members adhere to camp policies and procedures.
Ensuring the safety of all campers is a top priority. The site coordinator must implement safety protocols, conduct regular safety checks, and respond promptly to any emergencies.
Effective communication is essential in this role. The coordinator must liaise with parents, campers, staff, and external vendors to ensure that everyone is informed about camp activities and any changes or updates.
Assist with planning and execution of Days in The Park events.
Requirements:
Prior experience working with children in a camp setting or educational setting is required. Candidates should have experience leading groups, planning, and executing activities. A bachelor’s degree in education or a related field is preferred but not always required.

Basic computer literacy.
Knowledge of child development principles and best practices working with children.
