Schedule: Monday through Friday, between 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM CST; flexible hours may include evenings and weekends as needed

• Collaborative role working closely with physicians, coding professionals, case management, nursing, and other clinical staff

• Utilizes advanced knowledge of pathophysiology, medications, and critical thinking to identify documentation gaps
• Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, coding guidelines, and documentation best practices

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED required
• RHIT, RHIA, RN, RRT, CCS, CCS-P, or International/Domestic Medical Degree required
• CDIP (Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner) or CCDS (Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Inpatient Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist
• At least 12 months of recent experience in a production CDI role
• Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem-solving, and effective verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic healthcare environment
